The Weight Loss Drugs, Xenical and Alli

A
bout 60% of people taking Xenical for 12 to 18 months have lost 5% or more of their weight against 46% in the comparison group after 12 months and 37% after 18 months.

Some common side effects are gastrointestinal effects (diarrhea, incontinence). Another effect may be deficient in vitamins.

THE U.S. FDA approved this week a new weight loss drug, Alli, which is a half-dose version of Xenical for sale free. They are expected to be available under another name in Europe in 2008.

Weight Loss Drugs Efficiency And Long-term Side Effects

Side effects mentioned for these three drugs are at a short-term use. The greatest concern, however, the lack of data on long-term effects. Several experts believe that, given their effectiveness on weight loss very modest, it is not worthwhile to take risks with these weight loss drugs.
